Here's the live update for the ROUND 2 Current matches:

Ants in my pants vs All*
HNR vs Ura

Stay tuned (keep refreshing the page) to find out the latest happenings at CYRUS cybercafe.

UPDATES!

Ants in my pants vs all*:
MAP: cp_gravelpit

Ants trailing 2-3 All* at 4:38pm
ants are making a good come back on the blue side. it's getting more and more exciting by the second, better than watching UERO imo!
they just changed sides, the score is very heavily favoured on All*s. I'm still trying to find out the scores tho.

final verdict: all* won 6-4 in this match

HNR vs Ura:
map: cp_granary

match just started
screams of excitement and encouragement fly across the room after hours of delays due to a technical glitch
Ura just drew level with HNR 1-1. it was super exciting!
Ura are running an engineer on granary. a very unusual tactic and a very risky one. i wonder what the outcome will be...hmm.
Ura took the middle point even though they're running the unusual tactic! but don't bet your money on them just yet!
Ura's favourite word: go!
Ura demoman was hiding behind the tires at the last point and managed to ninja cap the last point while HNR's heavy looked away.

current score: 2-1 to ura. and it doesn't end there!

away from Ura, HNR is fighting back! hard!
if you thought ura was going to take the cash home, guess again. HNR is now tied with Ura 2-2! and the match between ants and all* is over. i wonder who won...hmm.

we are still tied 2-2. hmm.
news just in, URA had to go off due to the time constraints they had. so we're discussing with HNR how this will affect them. after all, they just drew 2-2 on cp_granary. which is supposed to give both teams 1 point each.

final verdict: 2-2 draw

ROUND 3 match results:

[5th] Company vs Ants in my Pants
After a devastating loss to All*, can ants in my pants make a comeback against [5th] Company? As for [5th] Company, after a loss to all*, do they still have high hopes of winning this match and march on their opponents? or are they just gonna sit down and enjoy the status quo.

Summary: [5th] Company won a close match over Ants in my Pants 6-4.

All* vs HNR
All* vs HNR is coming up next! Can All* continue their winning streak and claim the champion spot of this tour stop? And can HNR recover from their draw against Ura and keep them up the table?

Summary: All* marched over their opponents, HNR, by taking home the glory 4-0!

Consolation Match: HNR vs [5th] Company
Can HNR make a surprising comeback after 2 consecutive losses? And can [5th] Company secure their 2nd/3rd place slot by winning this match? We'll see how in a short while's time.

Listen kid, I'd love to go round and round with you, but you can't keep up with my dance. I've tested games you've never heard of. Alpha'd and beta'd so many games I can't even remember them all. I've got a different name in every game and I have a hard time remembering my accounts in some of the games because I'm spending so much time with your girlfriend that I can't play them all. I once trash talked a game in their own forums and the game got CANCELLED. I've got tens of thousands of forum posts and my e-peen is so big the whole internet shifts towards me when I login. You can't hang with this.

i must thank the organisers for the great event! Albeit for the technical delay, which led to the rather short games played?

I hope this event would attract more teams in the future

The event was great, I think I much preferred the atmosphere this one generated compared to the previous format.

Like the rest have said improvements could be made where advertising and technical stuff is concerned. But otherwise, I enjoyed it!

Just my 2 cents since I'm the only person on my team (Ura) with a GS account -

I didn't go to Chambers so I can't compare, but please, please, please patch the steam, and fix whatever technical difficulties before we go there! I liked the atmosphere though...

Funniest Moment : lHlNlRl Acel freezing in mid-air just above 'C' cap (due to 'Indian lag' and getting rocketed twice by one of the AntsInPants members, and said member had red hp, that could've won that round for HNR lol.

What kind of technical glitch you ask? Graphics driver problem. My tf2 kept minimizing during crucial moments, yeah.
Well, other than that, the event was well done!

@Mote: Funniest moment ain't that. It wasn't as epic as Akat getting ran down by a train.

HNR vs Ura was damn fun. We were singing and being damn noisy about being meleed, which was awesome.

I would like to extend our apologies for the late start, otherwise we could have seen more of URA's rowdy but funny action.

Great job to all the teams who played. We will take the event as a step to improvement. We will notify the next stop in due time.

Please keep the suggestions and feedback coming.

C'mon, who can forget that moment? It was filled with awesomeness. Especially when we polluted the whole shop with our noise.

The Good:

  • I'm impressed by Cyrus. It was clean, the com specs were good and the environment was comfortable - until it started getting too cold. It's better than being all hot and stuffy though.
  • Game format and rules were good and proper. I believe the competitors had a great time.

The Bad:

  • Bear has asked about this before the tourney. It's easy to go down to Cyrus to make sure all the TF2 are updated. But it still hasn't been done. Just seems like laziness to me.
  • Because of the above, there's a time delay and hence the matches had to be shortened to one half. Not enough.

Points to Consider:

  • If the aim of this tournament serves to promote TF2, there's not enough "promoting". Nobody could find out about this event apart from sgwargames and gamesync. Even outside Cyrus there are no banners or anything to show that a tournament is ongoing. I suggest making it more visible to the public.
  • Preperation, please. (updating of TF2, system check, etc.)
  • Prize money doesn't really make sense. First place is $300, while second AND third place both receive $100? It should scale according to placing. With a $500 prize pool I'd suggest 250, 150, and 100.

Hope my feedback helps. I'd also like to thank the event organizers and E-Club for sponsoring the cash prize.

Ace, 5th Company.
